I ask for a little individuality,
And I can't have it.
It doesn't exist.
Everyone is the same.
I used to be praised for being unique,
Creative.
Now I'm shunned and disregarded.
Everything is gray and black and white and I'm red.
I don't belong.
Everything is wrong.
The ubiquity of the same pop culture
in everybody's speech and appearance is sickening.
Everyone wants to make a difference,
But everyone is afraid to be different.
I've got two more years under someone else's roof.
I can only hope I last as long.
And I can't have it.
